Kentos means embroidery. Kentos, as the locals of Chios call it, is the embroidery on a camvas made from the trunk and branches of mastiha tree. It is the fine laborious and precise work of scoring the bark of the tree for a precious result: the teardrops of Chios Mastiha, a unique resin full of flavour and authenticity. Inside Kentos lies the history, knowledge and the secrets of mastiha cultivation passed dowh for centuries.
